Karangahake Gorge is situated between Tauranga and Auckland at the southern end of the Coromandel Peninsula. 1 hour from Tauranga, 1.5 hours from Auckland, 1 hour from Hamilton, 20 minutes from Whangamata.

		KARANGAHAKE GORGE MOUNTAIN RIDE New Zealand NEW! For the crazy mountain biker only! This high-end ride takes you to the top of Karangahake Mountain to take in the views from east to west of the North Island. After a much needed drinks break, speed down the back of the mountain through rugged New Zealand bush riding around the face of cliff drops and mud until you reach the banks of the Waitawheta River.
